Magic Lab Academy Celebrates 62 Graduate Animators & Opens Admissions for the Class of 2025

Magic Lab Academy x Pledges Inc. partnership is raising the next generation of storytellers, animators and artists across Africa, through a robust training program curated and administered by industry experts. These cohorts, upon completion, are awarded globally recognized certificates accredited both in the US and Canada.

Applications are already being accepted for the 6-month training cohort. This is open to 3D/2D Cut-Out animators or artists seeking professional training, mentoring and to qualify for employment in our animation studio and those of our network.

The duration for this cohort is 6 months. Classes kick-off by January 2024.

This Program features:

• 6 months professional training in 3D/2D Cut-Out animation.
• Industry level projects
• Diploma upon completion, accredited in the US and Canada.
• Access to network and professional mentoring

Magic Lab Academy is accredited in the US and Canada and Magic Carpet Stands tall in the animation industry with an impressive portfolio and high quality industry partnerships. Magic Lab Academy also brings Magic Carpet Studio’s weight into this program—curriculum, tutors, network, etc.

Magic Carpet Studio’s biggest mission is to create and curate authentic African stories for a global audience. From thorough research to high quality Afrocentric animation, through deeply imaginative storytelling, Magic Carpet’s vision of sharing rich African heritage with the world—elevating authentic African stories to the pinnacle of global entertainment continues to flourish.

In line with this vision, Magic Carpet Studio, through Magic Lab Academy x Pledges partnership, is raising the next generation of storytellers, animators and artists across Africa, through a robust training program curated and administered by industry experts. These cohorts, upon completion, are awarded globally recognized certificates accredited both in the US and Canada.

To further enrich this program, this partnership (Magic Lab Academy x Pledges Inc.) also leverages Magic Carpet Studio’s surplus industry level projects, vast network, and industry status. Cohorts are trained on real industry level projects, and become a part of a talent pipeline that leads to employment opportunities or offers by Magic Carpet Studio or other Studios in Africa and beyond.

Magic Lab Academy also welcomes investors, partners and collaborators to join this venture in building Africa’s creative capacity.
